Hunger Strike against Agony on Hindu Saints
On November 11, 2004, Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham was charged and arrested by state prosecutors in a murder conspiracy.
This case was a visible attack on the community of Saints. Jagatguru Vamacharya Sewak Sanjaynath took strict actions against this heinous act against the Honorable Shankarac
harya Jayendra Saraswati. He called up a meeting of all the saints and sages of Gurunath Akhada to unite and raise voice against the arrest orders of Shakaracharya.Then he started hunger strike on November 22, 2004 which lasted till Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati were released from the Jail.
